Event at the Embassy – Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Aco Šopov

Celebrating the “100th Anniversary of the Birth of Aco Shopov” in the presence of students studying the Macedonian language on an evening course at the University College London (UCL SSEES). They did an outstanding job reading poems written by the globally renowned Macedonian poet Šopov in both Macedonian and English.

Also when you’re a teacher with a mischievous streak, why not spice up your class with a dash of cultural “rice”tual fun which involves bringing a bag of rice pretending that it is a Macedonian custom. So, my students showed up at the embassy with bags of rice in tow, expecting to unveil this mysterious custom. 🙂
