What a splendid morning at the House of Lords breakfast reception, graciously hosted by Baroness Coussins! I first had the pleasure of meeting her at a linguistic conference where I gave a talk, and it’s amazing how connections can lead to remarkable opportunities, so I was invited to this fabulous event.

During the event, I had the privilege of engaging in a captivating conversation with none other than Duolingo’s CEO, Luis von Ahn. The insights he shared were truly enlightening, and I’m deeply grateful for the chance to connect with such an influential figure in the language learning world.

I also had the pleasure of mingling with other influential individuals who enthusiastically pledged their support and involvement in my “crazy” language-related ideas.

This event has left me feeling incredibly confident about the future of my role in various organizations and my business dedicated to promoting languages. Some truly exciting things are on the horizon! #LeavingMyComfortZone
